The First days With Your Newborn

Prepare for those first precious days at home

This workshop prepares you for the first 48-72 hours with your newborn — with practical knowledge that helps you feel capable.

We cover the essentials: safe handling and positioning, understanding what your baby is communicating, basic care tasks like diaper changes and umbilical cord care, getting started with feeding (breast or bottle), and recognizing when to contact your pediatrician versus normal newborn behavior.

Led by Sasa, who has +10 years of neonatal ICU experience and years supporting new families through these exact moments.

What we’ll cover:

  • Creating a safe and nurturing space - how to set up your baby’s environment for sleep and care, including safe sleep practices, hygiene, and gentle handling techniques.

  • Getting to know your newborn - understanding your baby’s body, breathing, and temperature needs, and learning what’s normal in those early hours.

  • Feeding with confidence - early breastfeeding guidance, recognising hunger cues, and knowing what to expect during those first feeds.

  • Tummies and nappies - what to expect with digestion, spit-ups, and nappies, including what’s typical and when to be concerned.

  • Recognising early health signs - spotting common concerns like jaundice and understanding when to reach out for professional care.

Who This Is For:
Expecting parents or parents bringing baby home soon. Both partners encouraged to attend — this is preparation you can do together.

What to Expect From Us:
Small group setting (maximum 8 participants, including partners), live demonstrations, time for questions throughout, and practical guidance you can use immediately. Recording available for 30 days after the workshop.

By the end of this workshop, our aim is that you’ll leave feeling more prepared, more confident, and ready to care for your baby with love and peace of mind.
